All Aboard The Fail Train

2009 August 30

In some train stations in Japan, oshiya or ‘pushers’ are employed to cram people onto the overcrowded train carriages. They also perform the job of a ‘puller’, pulling off any passengers who try to get on the train too late.

Also check out how John Eales crams a train in Japan Rugby style.

I have to confess that I’ve never seen anything quite like this….. I’d hate to be one of the people stuck against the door! Surely when they open people would just fall out?? Have they never heard of health & safety?

Is this true? Why not just wait for the next train? I hate being touched in public (except for good looking female strangers) so i don´t know how kindly i´d take to this!
If you watch the clip, the 2nd guy that come to help really pushes the passenger hard in the back! Looks really painful!
